CNY x Good Morning Singapore
These are just a few pictures I took during Chinese New Year! I'll post my ootd pictures when I blog via my phone hahaha. Speaking of it, I have so many pictures in my phone that I wanna put onto this space. Soooo ooo o o o many.... Seriously.
Ruby came over on the second day to bai nian and play cards with the family hahaha.
I performed a short dance for Good Morning Singapore on the 23rd of Jan :-)
It was to promote Chingay, so I had to dance a bit of what was to be expected.
It was broadcasted live, so you can imagine how nervous I felt. If I slipped/ did something wrong, it would be shown on national television!!! While dancing, I could see myself on the television screen, which didn't make things better because I needed to look into the camera.
In addition, I was only taught this shortened version about two days before the actual broadcast.
I was very displeased with my makeup. I added eyeshadow, but the lighting of the studio was so strong that it couldn't be seen, so only a thick eyeliner line was reflected on television.
I was given a list of the questions they would ask, and thankfully everyone around me taught me how to answer them properly. If you don't know me in person, you might not know that my Chinese is really bad. Without a script, I would be stuttering the whole way.
When I watched the encore telecast, I hated the way I spoke. It sounded really rigid and way too obvious that I memorized my lines.
Overall it was still an interesting experience. I got to see how the hosts had to read directly from the tiny screen below the camera, and how fluently they could do it. It's really not easy because you have to be fast and yet smooth, so I was extremely impressed. I tried to do the same thing in my head, but obviously I failed lol.
